This is simply gorgeous because it's so comforting! Preparation is easy, too! The lamb shanks are slow-cooked in a generous amount of red wine. This is best served with the sauce juices poured over mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, risotto or even soft polenta.

Lamb shanks are slowly simmered with fresh rosemary, garlic, tomatoes and red wine. Warming and delicious when served with polenta or roasted garlic mashed potatoes, as you'll need something to soak up the wonderful sauce that results. A fantastic dish for guests, as all the prep work is done at the beginning, and then you just have to wait.

The preparation is incredibly simple. All vegetable ingredients are cut into medium sized pieces, not diced. Serve with steamed potatoes, or mashed potatoes, and green vegetables of your choice. Absolutely scrumptious!! Enjoy!!!

This is one for the garlic lovers out there. On a personal note, I sometimes use more than suggested here... Please adjust seasonings to your own individual tastes. I sometimes add chilli paste to the marinade. Let me know how it goes. Hope you enjoy it as much as Malzu's family do.
