Semolina and ground almonds give this cake a luxurious weight, and the whole oranges provide moisture and a sunny citrus flavour.

This is actually a traditional Greek cake called Revani. It's deceptively simple to make and the semolina provides a unique texture that's sure to impress guests. This cake is also dairy free.

A traditional Lebanese dessert. This recipe omits the traditional addition of rose water and orange blossom essense, but it doesn't take away any of the deliciousness.

A lovely semolina cake recipe that you can make anytime of year. I have plenty berries in the garden and before the new harvest, I try to use up all of my stocks from the previous year. This recipe comes from my most recent exploits and my husband was very pleased. I hope others find it delicious too!

This gorgeously moist semolina yoghurt cake is scented with mastiha, a unique spice from the Eastern Mediterranean. Serve with a scoop of ice cream for a truly decadent treat.

I made this cake with fresh apricots, but you can also used well drained ones from a tin if they aren't in season (perhaps someone could try it with tinned apricots and tell us how it turns out?). Making the hazelnut brittle yourself is really easy and adds an impressive touch to this gorgeous cake.
