Pear Fairy Cakes. This recipe is gluten free and dairy free.
This is a delicious no bake, vegan, soy-free, gluten-free 'cheese'cake, with no refined sugars. It's made with walnuts, cashews, cocoa, dates and banana. The filling is slightly sweet, with a hint of banana and cocoa; it’s creamy with the consistency of “real” dairy cheesecake, but is lighter and less rich. The base is chewy, fudgy and totally chocolatey – complementing the filing extremely well. As a side note - raw-food purists wouldn't call this raw (as cashews are used).
These brownie bites are so good, you won't believe that they're vegan and gluten-free! They're chocolatey, fudgy and you just can't stop at eating one. You don't have to worry though, they're packed full of the good stuff - walnuts (omega-3 fatty acids), dates (natural sugars and fibre) and dark chocolate (flavonoids). They also require no baking!!!
An easy, no-cook healthy energy chocolate bar that tastes great. This can also work as a base to any tart of your fancy.
These tasty chickpea-based balls, flavoured with garlic, chilli and lots of fresh coriander, make a delicious alternative to rice or potatoes. Cooked traditionally as an Indian dish the balls would be deep-fried, but here they are baked.
This is a simple recipe for mini meringues with a delicate chocolate-coffee flavour.
These are not too sweet, and really tasty with a moist texture. What's even better is they're gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free and use natural sweeteners and the darkest chocolate you can find!
Several family members (including me) have to follow a gluten and dairy-free diet because of allergies, which makes these brownies ideal. They're inspired by the original brownie recipe which in itself doesn't contain any dairy. They were an instant hit the first time I made them.
Very easy and fast recipe - fun for children to make! The number of servings depends on how big you make the mounds!
