From spanakopita to roasted garlic tzatziki sauce - find plenty of Greek starter recipes to kick off your Mediterranean meal. We have filo pastry feta cheese pies, moreish meze recipes and loads more.
There are two keys to my version of this classic Greek recipe - straining the yoghurt for 24 hours and roasting the garlic. The former ensures that the tzatziki is a gorgeously rich (not runny) consistency, and the latter imparts a mellow garlic flavour. I use more than five cloves of garlic sometimes - it all depends on your mood!
This Greek meze is so easy to make and your guests are sure to talk about it the next day. Feta cheese is covered in sesame seeds, fried in olive oil till crisp, then drizzled with honey and served warm.
This Greek meze is perfect for entertaining, and the pastry could not be easier to make. Serve as a nibble or starter, and enjoy the leftovers for weeks to come - they freeze well after they're baked. Just defrost and pop them in a warm oven, and you'll think they're freshly baked.
This Greek yoghurt sauce made with cucumbers and fresh mint is a classic. Serve with kebabs, chips, crusty bread or warm pitta. You need to make this in advance but it still tastes really fresh.
Feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and black olives are blended in this full-flavoured Greek inspired dip. Serve as part of a meze spread with good crusty bread. Also great on sandwiches!
