I'm a sucker for lemon and coconut so this cake is perfection to me! It's more of a tea cake than a dessert cake.
A beautifully moist lemon loaf. This lemon drizzle loaf is the queen of all lemon loaves; sticky and light, she'll leave you weak at the knees for 'just another slice'.
A teatime-type cake that doesn't last long in our house. Mainly because I eat it for breakfast, which is probably not really advised... surely it's not much different to eating a lemon muffin?
This lemon drizzle cake in a loaf tin has a delicate hint of ginger. The decadence of Grand Marnier makes this lemon drizzle loaf special. Great with tea.
This was my first attempt at a fruity loaf, so I was a tad apprehensive before I started this recipe. But as a novice, I have to say it is the easiest recipe I have ever used. Perfect for a beginner! The resulting loaf is fruity, moist and sweet with a lovely unexpected tang from the lemon drizzle. It's so good my dad even recommends it and he NEVER recommends my baking (usually too sweet for him)! Give it a go and enjoy.
