This recipe uses an automatic filter coffee maker to brew the punch. If you don't own one, heat it in a slow cooker or a saucepan over medium heat on the hob. Grab your mugs and dive into this hot drink! Clean your coffee maker according to the manufacturer's instructions before using for coffee again.

Gleneagles was delighted to support the regeneration of their local Carse O'Gowrie orchard which supplies the apples in all of their cider. Throughout December this drink will be served at the hotel and £1 for each cider sold is donated to the Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust and Perthshire Big Tree Country. This is a nice hot end-of-the-day drink, is really easy to make and is delicious. It's perfect to take in a thermos on Bonfire Night, and also equally delicious with a splash of good rum. Serve with a cinnamon stick in the mug for a pretty presentation.
