Ready to dice?
You can dice an avocado while still in the skin. Use a table knife to make lengthways cuts through the flesh taking care not to cut through the skin. Next, cut crossways strips. Use a spoon to scoop out the diced avocado.
If you want to try another method: Use a spoon to gently scoop out the entire half and then slice the avocado on a cutting board. To make a small dice, just cut across the slices.
this way: Sprinkle cut avocado with lemon or lime juice to prevent it from turning brown. Avocado flesh darkens quickly when exposed to air. For mashed avocado or guacamole, cover the bowl with cling film and then press the film right down on to avocado. No air, no discoloration!
