Finish on low heat
To finish cooking, turn the heat to medium-low, or move the chicken to the cooler side of your charcoal barbecue.
Total cooking time depends on the size and type of chicken pieces you’re cooking:
Boneless pieces take a quick 12 to 15 minutes, while bone-in breast, drumsticks, thighs or wings take about 20 to 30 minutes.
