    About this recipe: Just three ingredients combine to form a luscious chocolate ice cream. This is a perfect recipe for those who don't have ice cream makers in their kitchen. Add grated chocolate, chocolate chips, crushed chocolate biscuits or even glace cherries for a little something extra.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 12 

    • 1 (397g) tin condensed sweetened milk
    • 160ml chocolate sauce
    • 475ml double cream

    Method
    Prep:10min  ›  Extra time:6hr freezing  ›  Ready in:6hr10min 

    1. Line a 450g loaf tin with aluminium foil. In a large bowl, stir together condensed milk and chocolate syrup until colour is even. In a separate bowl, whip cream until stiff peaks form. Fold cream into chocolate mixture and pour all into prepared tin. Cover and freeze 6 hours, until firm.

    This is a wonderful ice cream recipe. I used my 1-qt. ice cream freezer and it worked very well. This ice cream stays relatively soft in the freezer (if there's any left over, that is) so you don't have to get it out ahead of time to let it soften. DELICIOUS! (Update: I tried it today with caramel sauce instead of chocolate -- scrumptious.     I think this was a good idea for people who don't have ice cream machines. This ice cream is pretty sweet, because of all the sweetened condensed milk.
