About this recipe: A simple, quick and tasty recipe. Pork chops are pan-seared, then simmered with white wine, rosemary and garlic. Serve with potatoes or rice and a side of steamed vegetables.

Serves: 4 

  • 60g butter
  • 4 (2.5cm thick) pork chops
  • 125ml dry white wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

  1. In a large frying pan, melt butter over medium heat. Cook chops in butter, turning once to brown evenly.
  2. Pour in wine and season with salt, pepper, rosemary and garlic. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until chops are tender. Transfer pork chops to serving plates and spoon sauce over the meat.
