About this recipe: Coquito originates from Puerto Rico. It's typically served around Christmas time and is similar to an alcoholic eggnog. It's made by blending water with condensed milk, dark rum, coconut milk and ground cinnamon.

Serves: 10 

  • 125ml water
  • 1 (397g) tin sweetened condensed milk
  • 250ml dark rum
  • 2 (400ml) tins coconut milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt

Prep:10min  ›  Extra time:1hr chilling  ›  Ready in:1hr10min 

  1. Pour the water, milk, rum and coconut milk into a liquidiser. Add the cinnamon and salt. Blend until well combined, then refrigerate for at least one hour or until ready to serve.
