About this recipe: A deliciously creamy spread made by combining red salmon, cream cheese, horseradish, lemon juice, onion and fresh parsley. Perfect served with crackers, crusty bread or as a dip.


Serves: 8 

  • 1 (213g) tin red salmon, drained, flaked and bones removed
  • 225g cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons grated onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 60g pecans, chopped (optional)

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the salmon, cream cheese, horseradish, lemon juice and onion. Chill if necessary until firm enough to handle, then form into a ball. Roll in parsley and/or pecans. Refrigerate until serving. Serve with assorted crackers.
