    About this recipe: A shallow-fried salmon fish cake recipe, using only four ingredients. Serve these crispy morsels as a starter with a dip or with potatoes and vegetables, for a substantial meal.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 (418g) tinned salmon
    • 1 egg
    • 60g self-raising flour
    • 1 litre vegetable oil for frying

    1. In a medium bowl, combine salmon, egg and flour; mix well. Form into fish cakes.
    2. Heat approximately 1cm oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry fish cakes in batches until browned, turning once. Drain on kitchen towels, and serve.
