    About this recipe: Three ingredients cooked in a slow cooker for 6 hours, gives you a delicious and hearty side dish. It's made with spiced sausages, beer and sauerkraut. Serve with mashed potatoes.

    Serves: 16 

    • 900g kielbasa sausages, cut into 2.5cm pieces
    • 1 (330ml) can or bottle beer
    • 3/4 (700g) jar sauerkraut, drained

    1. In a slow cooker combine sausage, beer and sauerkraut. Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours, until the meat is tender and plump.


    Kielbasa are smoked Polish sausages and are available at Polish delis. If unavailable, substitute in Mattessons smoked pork sausage.
