    About this recipe: These morsels are light and fluffy, with just the right amount of ham and cheese. Serve them as a snack, an appetiser or tray passed hors d'oeuvres. Delicious!

    Makes: 24 scones

    • 1 (340g) tin chopped pork & ham, such as SPAM, grated
    • 125g Cheddar cheese, grated
    • 125g plain scone mix
    • 1 teaspoon water or as needed
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

    1. Preheat an oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. Mix together the chopped ham, Cheddar cheese, scone mix, water and cayenne in a large bowl. Form the mix into 2.5cm balls and place on a greased baking tray.
    3. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 12 to 14 minutes. Serve warm.
