About this recipe: This is a delicious, fruity variation of the popular Italian starter that you could serve as dessert! The strawberries are warm and sweet and the sugar is caramelised and crunchy. Your guests will love it!
loved it however i found that grilling for an extra 5 minutes burnt the crust of the bread so i used a blowtorch for about 20 seconds seems to have done the trick but nice twist on a classic - 10 May 2012
I had this today for the very first time and it was fabulous with the following addition: Butter bread, then sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Toast, then spread with cream cheese mixed with confectioner sugar. Then add strawberries. TO DIE FOR. - 25 Jan 2009 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
I make a strawberry bruschetta , except I toast a nutty hearty bread, and spread with a mascarpone cheese flavored with honey and they put strawberries on top, with a sprig of mint. They are always a hit and delicious and pretty! Bernadette from Hamilton, NJ - 10 Apr 2010 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
