    2. Place bread under the grill for 1 to 2 minutes, just until lightly toasted. Spoon some chopped strawberries onto each piece of toast, then sprinkle sugar over the strawberries.
    3. Place under the grill again until sugar is caramelised, 3 to 5 minutes. Serve immediately.

loved it however i found that grilling for an extra 5 minutes burnt the crust of the bread so i used a blowtorch for about 20 seconds seems to have done the trick but nice twist on a classic  -  10 May 2012

I had this today for the very first time and it was fabulous with the following addition: Butter bread, then sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Toast, then spread with cream cheese mixed with confectioner sugar. Then add strawberries. TO DIE FOR.  -  25 Jan 2009  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

I make a strawberry bruschetta , except I toast a nutty hearty bread, and spread with a mascarpone cheese flavored with honey and they put strawberries on top, with a sprig of mint. They are always a hit and delicious and pretty! Bernadette from Hamilton, NJ  -  10 Apr 2010  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
