These are what my family calls strufoli or honey balls. They're are messy but good!! Hope you enjoy them.
Strufoli will stay fresh for weeks if they are kept in an airtight tin.
This is basically the same recipe thats been in our family for generations...except we add 2 tbls. shortening, 1 tsp. vanilla extract, 2 tsp. baking powder and 2 tsp. whiskey when making the dough. Instead of forming the dough into balls we roll out the dough and cut it into thin strips. You can fry this or even bake it. Both ways are just as good!
