About this recipe:This is one of the easiest cake recipes I know. It takes minutes to prepare. The red wine adds a lovely richness to an otherwise typical cake. Top with your favourite chocolate sauce, or make your own chocolate icing.
300g plain flour
250g butter, softened
1 tablespoon baking powder
125ml red wine
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons cocoa
150g chocolate chips
1 bottle chocolate sauce
Prep:10min › Cook:45min › Ready in:55min
Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
Process all ingredients from flour to cocoa into a smooth mixture. Finally, fold in chocolate chips.
Pour the cake mixture into a greased cake tin and bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes. After cooling pour the chocolate sauce over top to serve.
