Can decide what sort of biscuits you're craving? Have three times the fun with this biscuit recipe. Make chocolate chip biscuits, coconut apricot biscuits and cashew nut biscuits all from the same dough. Sultanas? Currants? White Chocolate? Use anything that takes your fancy.
Refrigerating the dough overnight helps the dough be very forgiving and pliable when rolling out.
Sorry, I have to agree with zoggle500 above. The dough was more like instant whip so I used another 100gm of flour plus butter, sugar, baking powder and vanilla essence then made drop cakes. They were not too bad! - 18 Aug 2013
This didn't work for me I'm afraid. I left the dough in the fridge overnight but it was still a sticky mess in the morning, and was impossible to roll. I had to add loads more flour to make it pliable, and then the biscuits were heavy and floury when they came out of the oven. They didn't taste sweet enough either, although that was probably because the ton of flour added affected the ratio. Sad times! - 21 May 2011
