Easy cheesy hash brown bake

    Turn a bag of frozen hash browns into something utterly delicious. Don't use low-fat products, as they make the dish soupy. You should slightly melt the butter and cheese in the microwave before mixing, as it combines easier. No need to thaw hash browns.

    Serves: 6 

    • 125ml soured cream
    • 125g butter
    • 1/2 tin cream of chicken soup
    • 1/2 tube cheese spread
    • 1 bag frozen hash browns

    1. In mixing bowl, combine soured cream, butter, soup and cheese.
    2. In casserole dish lay 2 layers of hash brown potatoes and pour soured cream mixture evenly over hash browns.
    3. Bake at 170 C / Gas 3 until the top of the mixture bubbles and is slightly brown, approximately 25 minutes. Serve warm.
