About this recipe: This is something utterly delicious that you can prepare before a party and then just forget about. Tip: to keep this dip hot through an entire party, simply leave it in the slow cooker on Low.


Serves: 20 

  • 225g beef mince
  • 175g frozen sweetcorn
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 125ml salsa
  • 125ml mild taco sauce
  • 250g jalapeños chillies, diced
  • 1 jar sliced black olives
  • 250g grated Cheddar cheese
  • plain tortilla chips
  • soured cream

  1. Brown mince in a large nonstick frying pan over medium high heat, stirring to separate. Drain and discard fat, then spoon into slow cooker.
  2. Add sweetcorn, onion, salsa, taco sauce, jalapenos and olives to slow cooker; mix well. Cover; cook on Low 2 to 4 hours.
  3. Just before serving, stir in cheese. serve with chips and soured cream.
