Grilled Chinese Chicken Wings

    These sweet and sticky wings are quick and easy to prepare. Chicken wings are marinated in garlic, soy sauce, honey, tomato ketchup and ginger and then grilled to perfection. Enjoy as nibbles, a starter or part of a main course.

    Makes: 12 chicken wings

    • 2-3 cloves garlic, crushed
    • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
    • 2 teaspoons grated root ginger
    • 12 chicken wings

    1. Combine the garlic, soy sauce, honey, tomato ketchup and ginger together.
    2. Brush the chicken wings with the mixture. Leave to marinate in refrigerator for 1 hour.
    3. Grill for 8-10 minutes or until golden, turn the chicken once during cooking. Serve hot or cold.

    Alternative cooking method

    Bake at 200 C / Gas 6 for approximately 15 minutes or until golden.
