About this recipe: This is a hearty soup that's super-easy to make. Split peas are simmered with carrots and celery in a curry-seasoned stock. Simple and extremely yummy!


Serves: 4 

  • 190g dried split peas
  • 1 litre water
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 sticks celery, diced
  • 1 tablespoon chicken or vegetable stock granules
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:35min 

  1. Place all ingredients in a large heavy bottomed saucepan. Bring to the boil.
  2. Simmer for 25 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Remove from heat and liquidise with a hand blender until smooth.
