    About this recipe: These cookies are chewy, malty and slightly toffee-ish. M&M's are dotted throughout these delicious biscuits. They are a hit with children and adults alike. Enjoy with a cuppa.

    Serves: 60 

    • 125g butter
    • 100g caster sugar
    • 110g dark brown soft sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 250g self-raising flour, sifted
    • 55g Milo malt drink mix
    • 100g hard shelled chocolate, such as M&M's

    Prep:20min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:35min 

    1. Preheat oven to 170 C / Gas 3. Line a baking tray with baking parchment.
    2. Beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
    3. Add egg and vanilla extract; beat well.
    4. Fold in flour, Milo and M&M's
    5. Roll teaspoonfuls into balls.
    6. Place 5cm apart on prepared baking tray.
    7. Bake in preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden.
    8. Cool on wire racks.


    Milo is a malted chocolate drink mix. You can find it in Chinese/Oriental speciality shops or online.
