Creamy Tuna, Spinach and Basil Pasta

About this recipe: A quick and easy, one-pot tuna pasta! Cooked pasta is heated with spinach, tuna and basil in a creamy tomato sauce. Enjoy with crusty bread, if desired.


Serves: 4 

  • 400g penne
  • 1 (500g) jar tomato pasta sauce, such as Dolmio's bolognese sauce
  • 80ml single cream
  • 100g baby spinach leaves
  • 1 (400g) tin tuna in oil, drained and flaked
  • 60g small basil leaves
  • shaved Parmesan cheese, to serve

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Cook the pasta as packet's instructions. Drain.
  2. Return pasta back to the pan over medium-high heat. Add pasta sauce, tuna, cream, spinach and basil.
  3. Cook, stirring for 3-4 minutes or until spinach wilts. Add cracked pepper and serve with Parmesan cheese.
