Sweet 'n' Sticky Chicken Wings

    A Chinese-inspired chicken dish, that's not only quick and easy to make, but it also tastes fabulous. Blanched chicken wings are grilled with a simple, yet delectable honey-soy sauce mix.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 dash vegetable oil
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 1 tablespoon oil
    • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 12 chicken wings

    1. Put wings in a large saucepan over medium heat.
    2. Cover with water, add vegetable oil and salt and boil for 5 minutes.
    3. Remove wings from heat and let cool.
    4. Combine sesame oil, soy sauce and honey in a small bowl.
    5. Transfer wings on a foil-lined baking tray. Grill on medium heat and brush lightly with the marinade.
    6. After they have browned a little, turn and brush again.
    7. After the other side has browned take the wings out of the grill and let cool for a few minutes. Serve.

    Loved it, indeed. Tasty and easy. I made them spicy by adding some hot peppers and think this took it over the top. I sautéed on the hob instead of browning in the oven. Make extra sauce to serve over veggies and rice. Thank you for the recipe.  -  13 Dec 2015
