Tuna salad with grapefruit fusion vodka

About this recipe: Finlandia Vodka is fantastic with cocktails, but also great for cooking too. Working with Finnish chef Sara la Fountain, Finlandia Vodka brings you delicious and inspiring picnic ideas - like this tuna salad with miso-Finlandia Grapefruit Fusion Vodka.

Serves: 4 

  • 400g line-caught tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • pinch salt
  • For the dressing
  • 1 tablespoon Miso paste
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, grated
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 10ml oil
  • 2 tablespoons Finlandia® Grapefruit Fusion Vodka
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • For the salad
  • 1 bag mixed salad
  • 1 carrot, cut into sticks
  • 50g sugar snap peas
  • 8 radishes, thinly sliced
  • 4 tbsp wasabi nuts, chopped

  1. Cut the tuna into long strips and season with salt. Sear strips for 1 minute on a very hot pan with the oil. Allow to cool in fridge before slicing into thin slices.
  2. For the dressing, place all dressing ingredients in a bowl and mix together.
  3. To serve, put the salad on a plate mixing leaves, carrot sticks, sugar snaps, radishes and wasabi nuts. Add the thin tuna slices on top. Drizzle over with miso dressing.

Serving suggestion

Serve with Finlandia Midnight Breeze: - 50ml Finlandia Grapefruit Fusion - 200ml Cranberry juice - Garnish with a wedge of lime Method: - Build all ingredients in a glass full of cubed ice.
