    About this recipe: The easiest stew you can make! Bratwurst sausages, potatoes, green beans, pepper, mushroom soup and Cheddar cheese are cooked together in a slow cooker. Perfect for those cold winter nights.

    Serves: 6 

    • 6 bratwurst sausages, browned and cut into 1.25cm slices
    • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
    • 1 tablespoon dried onion
    • 1 (400g) tin cut green beans, drained
    • 1 small red pepper, seeded and chopped
    • 225g Cheddar cheese, grated
    • 1 (295g) tin cream of mushroom condensed soup
    • 150ml water

    1. Place the bratwurst sausages, potatoes, onion, green beans, red pepper, Cheddar cheese, mushroom soup and water into a slow cooker. Cover and cook on medium for 3 hours or until potatoes are fork-tender.

    This was yummy!! My fussy children even ate it. THANKYOU! However, I would increase the cooking time to approx. 6 hours...or par boil the potatoes first as they were still quite hard after the 3 hours recommended. - 14 Sep 2010


    So yummy!! Lots of flavour to it. My 2 year old loved it as well (which is a miracle!) Will definitely be making this one again - 10 Nov 2013
