    About this recipe: A fruity change from the usual bland couscous. Couscous is cooked with chicken stock, dried sour cherries, butter, salt and pepper. It's perfect as a side dish with any meal. Feel free to add other dried fruits, if desired.

    Serves: 4 

    • 250ml chicken stock
    • 4 tablespoons water
    • 4 tablespoons dried sour cherries
    • 15g butter
    • 1 pinch salt
    • ground black pepper to taste
    • 175g uncooked couscous

    1. In a 2 litre or similar sized saucepan, combine chicken stock, water, dried cherries, butter, salt and pepper. Cook over high heat until boiling.
    2. Stir in couscous, cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve immediately.
