    This version of Ranch dressing mix beats any store-bought variety. Make a huge batch and store in an air-tight container until needed. The amounts in this recipe are simply guidelines, feel free to adjust each ingredient to your taste.

    • 4 tablespoons dried milk powder
    • 2 tablespoons dried onion
    • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
    • 1 tablespoon dried chives
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
    • 1 teaspoon garlic granules
    • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
    • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill

    1. Mix the milk powder, dried onion, parsley, chives, salt, garlic granules, celery seeds, white pepper, paprika and dill together and store in a cool, dry place. For a finer texture, place ingredients in a food processor and pulse several times.

    Tastes right, but takes a few seconds for the taste to register. Could it be the msg that makes the flavor come through more quickly in the packaged stuff?  -  03 Oct 2010
