About this recipe:This is an Italian recipe for a super-rich tomato sauce. Onions, peppers, tomatoes and seasonings are simmered together for no less than 4 hours. Serve with pasta.

1.7kg tomato puree
120ml vegetable oil

Grind onion, pepper and garlic in meat grinder. In a large saucepan combine ground vegetables, whole tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato puree, passata, vegetable oil and Italian herb seasoning. Bring to the boil; reduce heat to simmer for 4 to 5 hours. Stir occasionally.
