About this recipe: This pumpkin pie is not only delicious, but it's also simple to make. All of the ingredients are mixed together, poured into a pastry case and baked. Enjoy for dessert.

Serves: 8 

  • 1 (23cm) shortcrust pastry case
  • 500g pumpkin puree
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 250ml evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:45min  ›  Extra time:55min  ›  Ready in:1hr50min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine pumpkin puree, sugar, eggs, milk, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg. Stir until smooth and thoroughly mixed. Pour pumpkin mixture into pastry case.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until set in centre.
