The classic alcoholic cocktail made the old fashioned way. Rye whisky is shaken with ice, vermouth and bitters, then served with a cocktail cherry.

- 4 tablespoons rye whisky
- 2 tablespoons sweet vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 cocktail cherry

- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour in the whisky, vermouth and bitters. Shake until frosty, about 15 seconds then strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a cocktail cherry.
