Best-ever Manhattan
The classic alcoholic drink made with Southern Comfort liqueur, sweet vermouth and aromatic bitters. Make sure you use the best quality ingredients for the best flavour.

- 85ml Southern Comfort liqueur
- 3 tablespoons sweet vermouth
- 2 dashes aromatic bitters
- 4 ice cubes
- 1 cocktail cherry

- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the Southern Comfort, vermouth and aromatic bitters. Shake for about 15 seconds then strain into a highball glass with or without ice. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.

I think "a really bad manhattan" is an oxymoron. Matter of fact, a couple of these & I become a moron-- just ask my wife. However, I personally prefer a ratio of 3 Southern Comfort to 1 DRY vermouth ( Martini & Rossi), a twist of lemon- stirred not shaken-- & on the rocks.
