About this recipe: A Chinese stir-fried vegetable side dish. Bean sprouts are stir-fried with sour pickled mustard greens, spring onions and lightly seasoned with fish sauce. Serve with rice.

Serves: 2 - 4

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 200g bean sprouts
  • 1 (350g) packet sour pickled mustard greens, finely sliced
  • 4 spring onions, cut into 2.5cm pieces
  • 75ml water
  • fish sauce, to taste

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

  1. Heat a large frying pan with 1 tablespoon oil over high heat. Stir-fry the bean sprouts for 1-2 minutes. Add and stir-fry the cabbage and spring onions for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add water, cover and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Season with fish sauce before serving.


Sour pickled mustard greens can be purchased in vacuum packed packages in Chinese/Oriental specialty stores or online.
