My mum invented this drink when we were overrun with fresh blackcurrants. You could try using redcurrants or another type of fruit - sweet, juicy raspberries, strawberries or blackberries might work well!

Ingredients

300g blackcurrants
500ml buttermilk
Juice of 1 lemon
4 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
lemon balm leaves

Wash the blackcurrants and chop them in a blender or mixer. Then strain through a sieve.
Mix the blackcurrant puree with buttermilk, lemon juice, honey and vanilla in a blender.
Pour the mixture into nice, cold glasses and garnish with lemon balm leaves for added flavour.
