About this recipe:Panna cotta is a classic Italian dessert that can be wonderfully combined with fresh fruit or whipped cream. The panna cotta must, however, be left to set for several hours in the refrigerator. For coffee lovers, hot espresso poured over the panna cotta tastes excellent as well.

Soften the gelatin in cold water.
Pour the cream into a small saucepan. Split the vanilla pod open lengthways and add to the cream with the sugar. Simmer everything for about 10 minutes over a low heat.
After 10 minutes add the orange and lemon zest to the cream, remove the vanilla pod and scrape the vanilla seeds into the cream.
Dissolve the gelatine sheets in the hot cream.
Pour the panna cotta into glasses or moulds, allow to cool slightly, cover and put into the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
Tip the panna cotta out onto a plate and garnish with whipping cream or fresh fruit.
