Seasoned Rice

    A simple and delicious savoury rice recipe. Rice is combined with beef stock, French onion soup, butter, Worcestershire sauce and basil, before being baked to perfection. Serve as a side dish.

    Makes: 4 - 6 servings

    • 285g uncooked long-grain white rice
    • 200ml beef stock
    • 1 (415g) tin traditional French onion soup
    • 50g butter, melted
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. In a 2 litre casserole dish combine rice, stock, soup, butter, Worcestershire sauce and basil.
    3. Bake covered for 1 hour, stirring once after 30 minutes.
