Nasi Goreng, literally meaning "fried rice" in Indonesian and Malay, is simply fried rice, a meal including fried rice accompanied with other items, or a more complicated fried rice, typically spiced with tamarind and chilli and including other ingredients, particularly egg and prawns. There are many, many variations of this recipe!
You can also use packet rice (the ones you can microwave) that can make it quicker.. or use leftover rice
Some like to have a fried egg on top or sliced thin omelette style egg. You can make this omelette by pouring 1/2 a beaten egg to make a really thin omelette, then slide out. Repeat, then roll both omelettes up together and slice into ribbons. (Probably best to do this at the beginning.) Also you could add prawns if you wanted.
