    About this recipe: An easy side dish that's great with pork.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g (1 1/4 lb) fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 30g (1 oz) pine nuts, chopped
    • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

    1. Place the green beans in a medium saucepan with enough water to cover, and bring to the boil. Cook 5 minutes, or until tender.
    2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Stir in the garlic and pine nuts, and sauté until lightly browned.
    3. Drain the green beans and toss with the garlic and pine nuts. Season with salt and pepper.
