For this recipe I reccomend using crushed garlic you would find in the dried spice section of your supermarket. If you prefer to use fresh garlic, use 2 cloves of minced garlic, and fry it initially with the can of tomatoes.
Be sure to let this sauce cool thoroughly before using it on your pizza. If you use hot sauce on a pizza when it goes into the oven, it will burn the cheese before the dough has cooked.

Lovely recipe. Used up loads of my home grown tomatoes made a big batch and froze a load. Great as a foundation for soups and stews aswell - 27 Sep 2013
