Best served in a dipping bowl. It's nice served with chicken in batter or tempura prawns. Alternatively can be served with tempura vegetables for the vegan option.
I liked this sauce, but to me, it tastes more like what I would call "chili sauce" rather than a traditional "sweet and sour sauce." Granted I'm an American and this simply be a matter of not understanding the U.K. lingo, but I really didn't understand the measurement "dessert spoon"...how much is that? Don't mean to be too critical because this still was enjoyed as a dipping sauce for chicken & pork dumplings. - 19 Feb 2015
