    About this recipe: A foolproof waffle recipe that is soft and crispy at the same time. The possibilities are absolutely endless - serve with jam and butter for a simple treat at breakfast, or with whipped cream or ice cream and fruit for a lovely dessert.

    Serves: 4 

    • 300g plain flour
    • 75g caster sugar
    • 10g baking powder
    • a pinch of salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 100g butter
    • 500ml milk

    1. Mix the flour with the sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
    2. Stir in the eggs.
    3. Melt the butter and add it to the mixture and stir.
    4. Finally add the milk, and mix.
    5. Set aside for 1 hour at room temperature.
    6. Pour the batter into a waffle maker then cook the batter for 4 to 5 minutes.
