This is my favourite bread! It is a bread machine recipe. You may substitute vegetable oil for flaxseed oil if desired.

Ingredients

250ml (9 fl oz) water
1 1/2 tablespoons flaxseed oil
3 tablespoons honey
1/2 tablespoon liquid lecithin
375g (13 oz) wholemeal flour
75g (3 oz) flax seed
2 tablespoons bread flour
3 tablespoons whey powder
1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
1 dessertspoon dried active baking yeast

Preparation method

1. Put all the ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Select Wheat Cycle, and Start.

Tip:

Lecithin, derived from soya beans, is a natural emulsifier. It is a thick, brown liquid and is most commonly used as an ingredient in good quality chocolate. It should be available in most health food shops.

    This was my very first bread I made in my bread machine, and it turned out Great! Flax seeds are good for reducting cholesterol, so good for you too!
