Serves: 3

  • any amount of plain flour
  • pinch of salt
  • water

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min

  1. Place flour, salt and a little water together in a bowl and stir until it comes together in a dough. You may have to add flour if it is too sticky, or water if it is too thick.
  2. You will now have to knead the dough. If it is too sticky then just add more flour.
  3. Get a metal tray out and pat the dough flat on it.
  4. Put the tray on the stove and heat it to a high temperature. Turn the bread to brown it on both sides.

Used different ingredients. I added a tablespoon of olive oil, which gave the bread a bit of a lighter chewier consistency. - 12 Oct 2010

Made this with school children as "Celtic " bread. They sat round in their Celtic garb and really enjoyed both making and eating. We added a few seeds for added crunch. - 05 Feb 2016
