Pumpkin Waffles


    These tasty waffles are incredibly light and moreish. If you're feeling adventurous, you can add a little cinnamon, cloves or nutmeg to the batter. Serve with ice cream and/or maple syrup.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 100ml vegetable oil
    • 2 eggs
    • 300g plain flour
    • 300ml milk, lukewarm
    • 75g pumpkin puree or apple sauce

    1. Combine the flour, salt, baking powder and eggs in a bowl. Mix well.
    2. Heat the milk in the microwave oven or in a saucepan and add it to the bowl. Quickly stir quickly smooth.
    3. Add the oil and the pumpkin puree and mix. The batter is now ready.
    4. Cook as directed by waffle makers's instructions.

    Can be purchased online or you can make your own using this recipe.
