This is a great recipe if you're watching your fat intake. For even less fat, make sure you use skimmed milk. This sauce is creamy and delicious.
I made this minus the nutmeg as I didn't have any. I used this as a sauce to go with tagliatelle, bacon & mushrooms - boy was it delicious. A blast from the past of my childhood, worked very well without the butter and I will definitely be using this recipe again, thank you! - 14 Apr 2015
This recipe is great, except for the fact that one teaspoon of nutmeg is way, way too much. I love nutmeg and added the entire teaspoon as the recipe calls for, but now the sauce is bitter and completely overpowered by nutmeg. The texture of the sauce is wonderful though. I'd definitely make it again soon, with about 1/4 tsp nutmeg instead. - 16 Feb 2016
