This wonderful buttercream recipe is foolproof. Melted chocolate is beaten with butter and sugar. Use to ice a Christmas log or plain sponge cakes.

I've never been that good at buttercream until now. This has a great chocky flavour and is so easy to do. I did use good quality chocolate. keith - 19 May 2013

Nice flavour, but came out much paler than in the picture. perhaps needs more chocolate? - 20 Aug 2014
