There's nothing better than homemade waffles. These waffles are perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dessert. Serve with a side of fresh berries, if desired.

Ingredients
Serves: 4
500ml full fat milk
100ml whipping cream, chilled
2 tablespoons oil
250g plain flour
3 eggs, separated
50g caster sugar

In a bowl, mix together the egg yolks and milk. Sieve the flour into the mix and stir in sugar. Mix to remove any lumps.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff. Gently fold into the batter. Stir in the oil.
Grease a waffle maker and preheat. When hot, ladle batter into the well and close. Cook for 4 minutes. Remove and cool.
Pour cream into a bowl and whip. Spoon some cream onto the waffle. Serve.
