Quick and easy tartare sauce

    There is nothing better than using a real home made mayonnaise for this recipe but when I don't have time, I buy some at the supermarket and use it. This sauce is very good with cold fish or red meat.

    Serves: 4 

    • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise
    • 1 teaspoon capers
    • 12 flat-leaf parsley leaves, minced
    • 1 shallot, minced
    • 6 cornichons, sliced
    • 1 hard boiled egg, yolk only, mashed

    1. Combine all ingredients and stir thoroughly till smooth. Chill till serving.
